I constantly preach the importance of creating passive income online. By now you’ve heard of all the major benefits of this (more time and location freedom, travel, blah blah blah), but what does this actually translate into on a day-to-day basis? When I first started making real money online and working for myself full time, I was pleasantly surprised to find out a butt-load of other benefits I didn’t even realize of. In this article, I’m going to shed some light on 8 advantages you might not have known with having a passive-income based lifestyle. 1. You Can Avoid Day-to-Day Activities at Peak Hours Don’t you hate getting to gym after work and dealing with the mobs of people – having to practically claw your way to get the one weight ten other guys have their eye on? How about going to the laundry mat, only to find out all the washers and dryers being used? How about the most hated activities in all of human existence: traffic? Here’s a short list of crap I hate dealing with: crowded gyms after work packed laundry mats traffic to and from work the grocery store after work packed shopping malls on the weekends standing in line at the bank after work standing in line at the coffee shop in the morning jam packed subways/ trains The great thing with making money passively is not having to deal with any of this. While everyone is slaving at their job, you can go to the gym (which is like a personal fitness haven around 2 pm). While hoards of shoppers are at the mall during weekends, you can get whatever you need done during weekdays. And not dealing with traffic – what’s better than that? You’ll remove at least 300% less stress in your life when you don’t have to deal with day-to-day activities alongside the masses. 2. You Can Be More Spontaneous If you are location and time independent, you can do what you want, when you want, no matter how random or spontaneous it may be. To illustrate, let me give an example of my own life: Last year I completed yet another 100 day challenge. In actuality, I went out 117 days in a row. On the last day I was walking back to my apartment after a god-awful night out – it was practically blow-outs from every single girl I approached. It sucked! On the way back home I was thinking to myself “I need a damn vacation asap. Hmmm…. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.” 2 days later I was on a flight to the Virgin Islands with my buddy Oleg, where we spent the next 2 weeks snorkeling, hiking and relaxing by the beach. I could NEVER do something as random as this if I worked a job. 3. You Can Revolve Work Around Play I read an interesting statistic that THE most social time in a persons life is during college. Anytime after that, the number of friends a person has and social activities they experience begins to drop. I guess that explains why people feel a crazy amount of nostalgia for that time in their life. When you are bogged down to a “wake up at 6 am” 40+ hour work week type of job, you don’t have as much time to have fun as you once did. By making passive income, you can revolve work around play. This means being able to go out at any given night of the week and stay out as long as you want. This means being able to day-game on a random Wednesday afternoon. This means enjoying a 2 hour lunch with a friend without the gnawing feeling of work in the back of your head. I’m personally having just as much fun after college, than I did during. I remember being on crazy day 2 on random Monday night. Me and the girl went bar-hopping around Chicago, played mini-basketball in my apartment, danced in my bedroom and capped the night off right. At the end of the night she turned to me and said “So is the a usual Monday night for you?” I was thinking to myself, “Wow, I guess your right. That’s pretty sweet.” 4. You Can Work In Target Rich Locations If you work online, you can work anywhere that has an internet connection. This includes places like coffee shops and malls where women are littered throughout the day. If you wanted, you could squeeze all your cold approaches during your break times. I used go to the mall to work & game all the time. I’d work for 2 hours chunks, take a break, make an approach or two, chat it up, swap contact info, then go back to work. This was one of the most efficient ways I used to pack in both pickup and work during my day. If you hate meeting women at bars or clubs, or find sarging taxing on your time, this could really benefit you. 5. You Can Take Mid-Day Naps Taking a 20 minute power nap is one of the most beneficial things you can do in your day. The benefits are endless: removes sleepiness & sluggishness reduces stress increases alertness and productivity improves memory and learning lowers your risk of heart disease increases cognitive functioning charges your creativity and is overall better for your health Most people think napping is for the lazy, but in reality the human body needs a nap, just as it needs sleep at night in order to recharge to function properly. When you work whenever you want, you can honor this and squeeze it in during your day. I personally take a 20 minute power nap at the halfway point of my workday which gives me the necessary energy I need to kick ass during the 2nd half. 6. You Can Travel During Slow Season Most of my friends can only manage to squeeze vacations during christmas/new years and summer. Since everyone else in the world vacations around this time, the price of travel is hiked up at least 3x. When you can travel whenever you’d like, you don’t have to do so during peak season, saving you serious cash on things like airline tickets, hotel accommodation and eating out. The random Virgin Islands trip I mentioned earlier was spent in October, which is wet season in that area of the world. I snagged a round trip ticket for $200, where on peak season would normally be at least $600. 7. You’ll Gain a New-Found Sense of Confidence There is a certain level of confidence you’ll get off people who’ve successfully created a passive income based lifestyle. Maybe it’s the fact they’re spending their days doing what they want, or that they’ve accomplished a challenging, long-term goal, or that they’re living their lives on their own terms. In any case, when you make passive income you’ll gain a degree of confidence you wouldn’t have developed otherwise. 8. You Can Spend More Time on Personal Development No doubt there is a more confident, outgoing, self-actualized version of yourself you are aspiring to transform into. Simply put, it’s hard to devote the time and energy to this pursuit when you have to work so damn much. I’d say this is one of the biggest reasons why most guys in the pickup community never get good with women. Making passive income gives you more time to devote on activities that actually matter in the big picture. You’ll be able to… Read more books. Take classes (acting, improv, cooking, public speak, dancing) Exercise. Meditate and focus more time on spirituality. Meet and be around fun, intelligent, inspiring people. Develop a particular skill set Self-reflect and journal Seek out and get advice from mentors Since making my own passive income stream over 2 years ago, I’d say my personal growth has at least tripled each year. On a day to day basis I read a crap load, meditate, exercise, take classes, work, hang out with good friends/ girlfriend, work on my music and journal. I could NEVER fit these high-growth activities in my day if I had to work a conventional 9-5.
