I should probably preface this by saying this was my first Direct Game opener during the day, where I just followed everything through. Here's what happened: Went to the mall to buy protein. Remembered that the shoestore next to GNC has a hot girl that works there, decide to approach if she is there. On my way out of GNC I see her as I pass the doors. I take a step back and stroll in. No customers, just one other coworker. I go straight up to the desk with a big smile and say, "Hey! I don't need help with shoes...but...I just had to come in here because I think you are so cute. I had to let you know this and introduce myself." She takes a step back, smiles and looks at her coworker. We exchange names and I shake her hand. Hard eye contact the whole time. They tell me this "happens all the time" and giggle. I say "Yeah sure, but the malls pretty dead today, I figured I'd be your first" She giggles and I can feel that my teasing is off and I had no idea what to follow anything with as my eyes were watering due to the smell of shoe-cleaner and the fact that I am doing this shit!!! I hold up my GNC bag and say, "Look, I don't have all day as I was just doing a quick GNC run, so I'll cut to the chase. Are you single?" Even more eyecontact from her. Even tho she says she has a boyfriend. I smile and say, "So you can't make new friends?" She looks at her coworker who agrees that "she can make friends" I reach into my coatpocket and feel nothing there is this really the fucking day I forget my phone?! She takes my number. She asks me for my name again and double checks to see if the number is correct. I take these as good signs. She tells me she is from out of town and to expect a diff area code when she calls. Her coworker does start to cockblock a bit, so I say great to meet you, hold out my hand to her, and leave, standing tall like the Beast. I would be surprised if she calls, because this took all of 30 seconds. My teasing could have been better and I should have asked her about where she was from or set up plans to follow up. Whatever, if she calls that is awesome. I take on a sort of entertainer, loud tone of voice as if I am addressing a crowd, is that OK? It is very high energy, but not overtly goofy but is the mood I find myself in on approaches. Is that ok or should I tone it down and seem more casual?
