This is something that you might not think about that could make a difference in your sex experience.

Putting the condom on can be a difficult thing. Some guys may lose their hardness when putting it on. One thing that confounds this is fumbling around with the wrapper while trying to keep the erection up--the focus on the wrapper can cause some loss of concentration. It's even worse if you have to get up and get it from some hiding place.

Here's what you do. Set the condom on a dresser or end table unwrapped prior to beginning the sex act. Do your foreplay or whatever you need to do, and then when you're ready to insert, casually grab the condom, which should be in arm's length and slip it on (correctly). It goes without saying that your hands should be clean when handling the condom, and it should be on a clean surface. If you practice doing this, then you can come across as smooth while still being safe.

    Always plan ahead

I think it's a good idea, but I'm with Tuba. Do condoms "dry out"? Generally I'm not too worried about this because I lube my condoms anyway (which is something I feel all y'all should do too). But does the latex get brittle?

Anyone who wants to try this techniques should test it out first. Let a condom sit out for differents lengths of time and see what happens to it.

I'm not trying to come off as a prick here, but I don't really have a problem opening the wrapper. Ironically, I always have problems opening packaged airline peanuts. I do have a problem figuring out which side of the condom unrolls.

I find that too, about which side of the condom to un-roll.

Jay, great advice about eating "naturally sweet" things - I shared that with my girlfriend and she was truly curious about it... we were out for Sunday morning breakfast and she ordered extra pineapples and cantaloupe!!

    Hi Jay,

On the first bolded statement, when I tested this approach, I took the condom out and had foreplay for 20-25 minutes and then another half-hour of sex without any problems. This was a Trojan brand original latex condom (orange package). It's not lubed in the package, so its a dry condom. This kind of condom looks like it has talcum powder or something on it when you open it.

So it was out of the package for 25 minutes before I put it on.

I'm trying to get an official answer on this--you'd think someone would do a study and when I find one I'll post it. Most of what I'm seeing recommends the use of a lubricant with the condom to prevent it (and the woman) from drying out.

As far as your second statement, I saw a statistic that 20% of the condom failures were from putting it on backwards and then flipping it over (a no-no--throw it away!) That also is an error that is more common when alcohol is involved.

It doesn't seem like 25 minutes should be enough to dry the condom out if you're indoors. ???

I'm going to back up a bit though and just iterate the main idea-- You have to practice this. Whether you open the packet beforehand or not, you can't get up, run into the other room, get your condom, come back, and still expect that the mood you've worked so hard to create is still going to be there.

It depends on what lube you use. Water based are ok but oil based such as baby oil etc will eat away at the latex.

    Be warned!

    I don't think it's a good idea

It's because they aren't used to using condoms, and have
trouble to put it on properly. Additionally, it may be, they
have a limiting believe using condoms isn't a good thing.

    Practice makes perfect.

I suggest to practice at home at least a dozen time.
Teach yourself putting the condom on your dick within
a few seconds. It's really easy after some practice.

When the moment is there, you will be smooooth :D

Hiding place? Just have a condom box in your pocket. Or
have a few next to your bed. Covering it with a something,
or have a stylish little box with condoms.

    I don't see the problem....

It's right in the open... But that's not bad I think.

But I would use the condom immediately after getting out.
It's not made for keeping it waiting before use. I don't
know everything about condoms, so that's why I use them
as they suggest it should be used. Before you know it
    you will be daddy! Hehe.

Next, putting the condom ready isn't good for when
you have a new girl. It get's her critical factor
active (Blissnosis!:D). It's like: "First we are going
to do foreplay, and then we will have sex."

Better be a bit vague of what's coming. If I notice
the girl is a little bit resisting, I tell her I will bring
her home within half an hour..... (But I don't, as it
takes a few minutes more, and another few minutes,
and another, another... etc. hehehe :D).

Ok, as you can tell already... I don't think it's a good idea
    to unwrap before foreplay.

Some guys try to put on a condom like this:
"Shit, I have to use a condom.. eeeh.. oh.. how to put
in on.. oh shit.. now she knows we are going to have
sex. shit, wrong side... " etc.

When I put on a condom, it's like: "Look here, I put
on a condom, and I going to take you HARD. YEAAAAH"

The condom amplifies everything. It's not a thing to
loose concentration on. It's just an element of the
sex, just like sucking her tits. I don't loose my hard
on when I suck her tits...

It's the frame of mind... If you have a strong frame,
    you can do anything.

    Enjoy,

    I googled them right here.

It's not clear to me whether you're supposed to take the condom out of the wrapper before putting it in the box, though.

    Searching...

I have a few condom boxes (Eh, I lost one
somewhere... Hmm). One is plastic, but as
the condom packages changed, the plastic
    condom box is to small.

And I have a big one; containing 8 condoms.
It's looking very classy, silver style :D

I had some bookmarks with online stores. I
found those after surfing a lot hehe. But, I
lost the bookmarks. Maybe I should bookmark
    the bookmarks.

If I find them again, I will put it here.

    Enjoy,

    TVM

P.s.: Ask the sex shop assistans. Let them give
you suggestions on how to get those condom
boxes. You might have them ordering the condom
    boxes, just for you...

P.p.s.: If you like to have condoms near the bed,
just a little box that looks stylish is sufficient. Fill
it with condoms, it does the job.

how about having the girl go down on you, while you're putting the condom on ?

Of course, if she already went down on you during the foreplay...I find that most of them get even more turned on by this, since you're maintaining strong, leading frame, and it doesn't break the rapport/flow..

Haha... Yeah they were meant to be super quick so people would use them more often, thus reducing the spread of AIDS. Thus, they are only made in South Africa. You can buy them online, and they are supposed to cost as much as ordinary condoms.
