I went up to one girl in a nightclub and asked her: "Do I look like I am gay?" She said I do a little bit. I told her the gayest person I know wont leave me alone. She then ran her fingers through my hair to make it spiky, straightened my glasses and pulled my slevees up. I think her BF saw this happen from a few metres away. I went into the nearby toilet and put my hair back the way it was. I told her when I got out that I was afraid a Magpie would nest in it. I'm told this opener is a killer.
Uhhh...if you like opening like that and having girls immediately question your sexuality, then yeah...it is a great opener. Sounds like you got some kino right off the bat tho, which is cool. For me, I am sticking with "Hey, my name is XXXX. You look fantastic tonight." You should use your "gay opener" a few more times to see how well it works. It is probably fun and more suited for a nightclub.

You certainly can, as long as you're not promoting them. The "I'm Gay" opener, I've used that too... it can open a girl really well. But I suggest you use it in a self-amusing way as a laugh. Say, "I'm Gay", but grab the girl, pull her into you, and physically escalate hard on her while you tell her, "I'm gay, I'm gay... I'm gay!" So she's not sure what to think... and she suspects you're not. That way you're physically escalating and being FUN. The way you did it was alright, but I suspect you were overly serious in the delivery. Have fun with it instead... to make yourself laugh... and not to make the girl "like you" or get a particular kind of reaction from her.
I agree with, Jesse...DON'T make it seem too serious. Some women are soo turned-off by any man who is gay or bi...you never know what she thinks or believes. TM
Personally I think that that opener works for you then you should stick with it. Keep on using it and let us know how things go .
I will keep you posted. This might become something of a default opener for me. For your information, without saying too much about it, here is the passage from the aforementioned work where the author raves about it: DO I LOOK GAY? This one is a killer. It never seems to fail. The root is that a guy just tried to pick you up, or your friend said look you gay in those shoes/that shirt. An alternative follow-up is to say that you were at a bar (doesn't even have to be that night) and that you got chatted up. They will laugh, and it just works a charm. The first time I tried this was on a Scottish girl and her mum(!); it was a great approach and they opened up very easily. Since then I've used it very successfully, as have loads of my students.
