I'm starting out by saying going out alone to sarge without a wing was a HUGE step for me seeing as how I've always been a very social guy. At the snap of my fingers back in Connecticut I can easily roll anywhere at any time with an entourage of women and a few of my good boys. Anywhere, anytime, and any place. Since Speer, Ace, and Hydro left to head back to Project Hollywood I've been going out with Molina23. I'm really out of my comfort zone down here tremendously and it's very difficult knowing that the only person I can only rely on is myself to get good at this. I need to get good at this without relying on a wing or a guru for that matter. It took a lot for me to go out alone but I've learned to face my fears and that nothing is going to stop me now. So I showered, dressed my best, and got into state for the night by listening to some awesome music. As long as I could successfully go out by myself and open at least one set it would be a win for me for the night. Christ I've been on two combat tours as a machine gunner in the Infantry and have been shot at along with being rocketed and blown up almost how many times. Why do I fear going out alone soo much???? It's fucking weird guys I can't even begin to tell you. I got to the casino and saw a two set in the parking garage so I opened them right away just as a warm up. They explained to me where the hot spots were inside along with how to actually get to them. I walked away so happy because I instantly accomplished what I set out to do for the night but I told myself I was going to surpass that. I headed inside and chatted up a few people along the way to warm up even more. It was just small talk and nothing big but I did it. Inside I opened a few more sets along with a cocktail waitress that hooked pretty decently. I'd have to say I'm pretty decent with hired guns because it seems that they always want me to stay and talk to them. I lost momentum by not constantly being in set so the longer I was looking for another set the more I got inside my head and I ended up leaving because it seemed that there were more dudes around the place for a Wednesday night than anything. I left but felt as though I should have stayed. Either way I'm very proud of myself for facing my fear head on and doing it but not just doing it but surpassing it BY FAR. Either way I took the first step in solo sarging so it was a win for me personally nontheless. I'll let you all know how the next solo sarge goes. Either way it's a step in the right direction. I have three field reports from last weekend and one from tonight to write. Any words of encouragement or anything at all would be helpful for my next solo sarge.
congrats on your accomplishment. just keep the momentum with you. and also try to figure out a spot where you can approach, approach, approach, cause than momentum is really on your side... until it becomes second nature to appraoch girls.. hell i know how it fells if your doing well but than there is no one to appraoch... fucking sucks.. ;D but also keep in mind to not use this as an excuse, for example that there are more guys around...cause if 80% of 1000 people in a club are dudes, there are still 200 girls left for you... if there are really no other girls different case
First off, you are a badass Your FR is giving me alot of confidence to get out this weekend and role dolo. And wtf?! Even when I go out with friends I break off and do all my approaches alone...its comforting to know you have a familiar face to go back to. If I linger too long not in a set, I generally find the hottest girl in the room and just dive in. With no expectations, just to get out of that "thinking/internal" mindset. Usually doesn't go too great LOL but whatev What are you doing/opening on with the guys/ guy sets? This is a big issue for me as I don't make much small talk/guy talk. I am into art, writing, music, and movies....not sports (cept golf LOL) So I just don't really feel like talking to guys, even if just to be friendly. Somehow, I have managed to work with typically all girl sets, or sets where its a bunch of girls with one AFC. I have never addressed the guy in the group, or guy first. Understandably, I know to improve my game I need to get at least marginally sufficient at this, so what are your tips?
Thanks guys I appreciate your feedback! My best tips are in mixed sets or even guy sets talk to everyone!!! In a mixed set though you always talk to the guys first to disarm them. Your out to be social and don't want to seem as though your just preying on girls. Last Saturday night when I was out I went and worked the whole room talking to everyone even if there were a few sets of just guys. The more I did this the more girls were eye fucking me because it looks as though you know everyone so it raises your social value. Also make friends with the guys as well because you never know they may be able to get you in for free somewhere in the future. Just talk to everyone Earl.
