Here's a sad representation of our society.
It was made for PBS on, Independent Lens.
it is represented in Hip-Hop music and it's culture.
Sex and violence are what is being conveyed to men.

You can see the 6 videos and it's 1 hr. long at: Hip Hop: Beyond Rhymes and Beats « Sex with Timaree

I used to listen to DMX just to laugh about how violent and profane the lyrics are. I think West Coast guys like Dre and 2Pac, who occasionally squeeze a message inbetween drug references, are pretty throwback:cool:.

Overall, I can't stand the new Hip-hop crew and there is a clear correlation between rap and violence. As a teacher, nearly all of my students (bless their souls) who listen to rap do poorly and carry themselves in a reckless manner (not the good kind that gets you laid ;) )

But on the other hand....why can't everyone just write songs about chicks and drugs like Van Halen?!

After watching the 6 videos and then watching a violent documentary, on TV, about how violent some animals are to gain mates, I became depressed for the rest of the day...nothing could get me out of my funk. :(

But, I enjoy conveying good info to you guys...knowledge and beliefs about ourselves and people help us on our Journey.
