The role of oxytocin in the brain Here's a good video and transcript by, Paul Zak. He is the Director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies at Claremont University. He is mentioning the effects of oxytocin release in the body. Click-on to read and see the video: Big Think Interview With Paul Zak | Paul Zak | Big Think He talks about different scenarios. One scenario, that was interesting to me involves Jesses' Forum and the apparent oxytocin that MAY or IS released by the members on the Forum. Here's a brief statement that he made that re-enforces my belief: "If instead, the oxytocin research is correct, that individual normally connect with each other, that’s our motive being as social creatures as human beings, and it means that if business is about service to others then business itself is a virtue – you are engaging in a virtuous activity by serving the needs of somebody else. When you do that, when you serve the needs of your employees, of your customers, you will induce oxytocin release and they will want to reciprocate. So can you say, “Customer loyalty?” This is how you do it".
