It's crazy how eye contact can make or break any sort of interaction. To be blunt, I am just starting out, haven't gotten laid and only have a few numbers. However, I have made eye contact soo hard on one woman, for so long I literally watched her blush and start sheepishly smiling. She had to have been in her 40s, and it was just small talk in a store. That being said, I used to have the same problem of quickly looking away, as if getting caught, and just thinking shit. I just listened to some of Jesse's nonverbal this weekend and I am assuming she probably felt that you looked at her sexually, but in that spilt second when you looked back you shot yourself in the foot. Who hasn't done that!?
Eye contact is an expression of sexual intent. It's sort of like going up to the girl and saying to her, "Hey, I think you're hot." Since a direct compliment and holding eye contact are actually brothers in a sense (both are expressions of your sexual intent), the same force that holds one back from just going up to the girl and complimenting her is the same force that makes you look away. So one thing you can do Sandee is specifically work on expressing your intent consistently... by complimenting every girl. Just compliment, smile, and say goodbye. That will make holding eye contact easier because you become more comfortable with unapologetically expressing your sexual desires without apology.
