Your Blind Spots:

I have always looked up to a few great PUA gurus, by their various journeys to the top, and the obstacles that they faced along the way, and have been inspired by their persistence in overcoming them. None strikes me more than the fact that most of them had other good guys that they learned from along the journey.

This brings home an important point. While we have to do most of the heavy lifting, there are always points along the way when you’ll need some one, a trained eye to observe you in action for feedback.

There is so much about you that you will be totally unaware of, bad habits that deter your progress, and being self taught can hold you back if you repeatedly make the same mistakes over and over again.

I had an amazing epiphany when a trained guru filmed me over an evening, with audio, and then gave me feedback the next day while we both watched my “show”. I had no idea of some bad habits that I saw in myself, being revealed to me in my own eyes. This was tough to take, but most welcome in knowing specifically what I had to do to evolve to the next phase of my evolution.

Knowing these blind spots, however, is not an end all solution. It only means that you are now aware of them, and can catch yourself anytime you make a slip, and over a period of time, you can correct these behaviors and evolve to the next level. The key word is time, because bad habits don’t change overnight, and being persistence in effecting these changes will bring improved results.

I still consider myself work in progress, and I expect that I will be constantly seeking feedback from guys that I consider more advanced than me in this game, so that I can continue to evolve.
